Last year in September my boyfriend and I went to Italy for the first time by car as we had an upcoming wedding to attend from friends that were about to get married in Mogliano.
We made a little roadtrip and went to Lake Como, Lucca and Milan for a very limited time.
Some awesome news: We’re going back! So help us out what to visit/see/must-do…
So… Italy huh?! It’s actually crazy if you think about it but it’s closer to us than a trip to the United States of America and yet we only went there once! (actually, if I think about it: twice). The first time was in 2013 when we went cruising with The Royal Caribbean and left from Rome. So, we spend 3 days in Rome and went for a scooter trip and pizzzaaaa!
Last year, we had friends who married in Mogliano, Italy which is more in the East. So for the very first time we went by car and did some stops before. We spend a few days at Lake Como, went to Lucca (highly recommended!) and a day-trip to Milan.
As it was a quite busy period with us moving into our own house and still plenty of things to do IN house we weren’t very prepared of what to do/see exactly.

We did enjoy our stay at Lake Como very much and that’s why we decided to stay close to this lake again. However, while last time we had a hotel directly at the lake, we now chose a Bed & Breakfast approx. 15 min away by car. We won’t be centralized in the busy area and we now will enjoy more of the quietness around us as we will be more surrounded by nature and open fields. From this B&B, we will have easy access to travel to other different cities very easily.
Ofcourse we will go to Lake Como but we’re also planning on going to Lake Garda, Milan and Venice.
So should any of you have any must-see places or delicious restaurant recommendations, please share with me!
